Ryan has an extensive background in the biophysical sciences, with over fifteen years of study and research spanning medical biochemistry and applied physics. His background includes competitive boxing, Zen meditation and the general pursuit of fitness, superimposed on twenty years of sometimes-poorly-managed chronic pain challenges. Ryan has intensively studied the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education since 2010. He is motivated to help others more easily incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives, and to overcome limitations of movement and self-usage, in the service of human dignity and collective thriving. Ryan is humbled by the diversity of human experiences and prioritizes autonomy and consent as he works with individuals of all backgrounds.
